Essilor Ovation entry-level progressive lenses. No-line multifocal that corrects distance, intermediate, and near vision seamlessly without a visible bifocal line.

Starting from$89

Standard progressive lenses provide correction for all distances — far, intermediate (computer), and near (reading) — with a smooth gradient between zones and no visible line. The Essilor Ovation is our entry-level progressive with excellent performance for most prescriptions.

How Progressive Lenses Work

A progressive lens has a corridor of increasing power running down the center of the lens. The top is optimized for distance, the middle for intermediate, and the bottom for near. Modern manufacturing creates this smooth power change without any visible dividing line.

Adaptation Period

Most new progressive wearers adapt within 1–2 weeks. During this period, slight peripheral distortion is normal as your brain learns to use the correct lens zone. Looking straight ahead for distance and dropping your gaze (not your head) for reading accelerates adaptation.

Common Questions

How long does it take to adapt to progressives?
Most wearers adapt within 1–2 weeks. Look through the top for distance and drop your gaze (not your chin) for reading. Avoid looking through the bottom for distance.
Can I go back to bifocals if I can't adapt to progressives?
Yes — if you're unable to adapt to progressives within 30 days, LensesRx will remake your lenses as bifocals at no charge under the satisfaction guarantee.
What frame styles work best with progressive lenses?
A minimum fitting height of 28mm is recommended. Smaller frames (under 26mm) limit the usable reading zone. Larger frames allow a fuller progressive corridor.
